This policy explains what happens to data when you use PawNamer. It is written to be read, not to be impenetrable.

Who is responsible. PawNamer is operated by Ngoc Vietsmall, Cau Giay, Hanoi, Vietnam. For any privacy question, or to exercise a right described below, write to contact@pawnamer.com.

The short version

  • We do not ask you to create an account.
  • Your shortlist is stored in your own browser, not on our servers.
  • We do not sell personal data.
  • Advertising and analytics partners do set cookies — details below.

Your shortlist

When you save a name, it is written to your browser's local storage. It never reaches our servers, so we cannot see it, back it up or restore it. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently.

What we collect directly

Contact form. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them to reply and keep them only as long as needed to resolve the matter.

Server logs. Our web server records standard request data — IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp. This is used to diagnose faults and detect abuse, and is retained for a short period.

Cookies and third parties

We use third-party services that may set cookies in your browser:

  • Advertising networks — to select ads and limit how often the same ad is shown.
  • Analytics — to count visits and see which pages are useful. Aggregate, not individual.

These partners act as independent data controllers. Their own privacy policies govern what they collect; we cannot grant or withdraw consent on their behalf.

Your choices

  • Block cookies in your browser settings. The site still works; the shortlist uses local storage, which some browsers clear along with cookies.
  • Opt out of personalised ads via your Google Ads settings or the industry opt-out pages run by the DAA and NAI.
  • Request your data or ask us to delete it by writing to contact@pawnamer.com.

If you are in the EU or UK

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to object to processing. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest for server logs and security, and consent for advertising cookies. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@pawnamer.com.

If you are in California

Under the CCPA you may request disclosure of personal information collected about you, request deletion, and opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we update the date below. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised policy.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we hold. However, no transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-party links

This site links to pages we do not control. Once you follow such a link, this policy no longer applies and we are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of the destination site.
